FCC Activates DIRS In Response To Hurricane Florence

(UPDATE): Thursday, September 21st, 2018 DIRS HAS BEEN DEACTIVATED IN ALL COUNTIES IN GEORGIA. 
 
ATLANTA, GA–
 
The Federal Communications Commission (FCC) staff today announced the activation of the Disaster Information Reporting System (DIRS) in response to Hurricane Florence. The FCC requests that communications providers that provide service in any of the areas listed below expeditiously submit and update information through DIRS regarding the status of their equipment, restoration efforts, and power (i.e., whether using commercial or back-up power). 
DIRS can be accessed HERE.
 
Reports are requested beginning at 10:00 a.m. on September 13, 2018, and every day after that by 10:00 a.m. until DIRS is deactivated.
