Promotions Coordinator- Kiss 104.1

Promotions Coordinator for Cox Media Group, focusing on the day-to-day operations of the WALR-FM (KISS 104.1) promotions department, will report to the Promotions Director for CMG’s Atlanta Radio Cluster and will work with CMG Atlanta Radio on-air talent, media consultants, other team members and clients to create, plan and flawlessly execute promotions, events, and giveaways.
  • The Promotions Coordinator will maintain fully integrated interaction with the WALR Programming Team, Digital Team, Sales Managers and Media Consultants as it pertains to development and execution of promotional activities.
  • The Promotions Coordinator will be responsible for representing and promoting the KISS 104.1 brand via a variety of African-American based community projects, including, but not limited to coordinating promotional support for causes and events, and proactively pursuing relationships within the community.
  • The Promotions Coordinator will manage contesting/sponsorship operations for WALR including creating relationships with promoters and venues, composing proposals, maintaining calendars, communicating with all departments on needs and schedules
  • The Promotions Coordinator will be responsible for creating rules and giveaways based on CMG legal guidelines, managing winners/prizes, tracking winnings, creating tax reports, etc.
  • The Promotions Coordinator will plan and oversee the responsibility of managing events, remotes, and appearances for WALR.
  • The Promotions Coordinator will be responsible for payroll and supervision of approximately 5 Cox Media Group Remote Coordinators.
Qualifications

 

  • A minimum of three (3) years of experience in a marketing and/or promotions role
    • Radio Promotions expertise and experience preferred but not required
  • Ability to “connect” with the lifestyles, wants and needs of women, 25-49 years old
  • The ideal candidate should be extremely detail-oriented, committed to delivering flawless work, able to flexibly work under short deadlines while maintaining a high level of energy, commitment and passion for results
  • Proven track record of working with a field marketing team with successful on-site execution
  • General knowledge of creating Official Rules for giveaways, complying with FCC and FTC regulations regarding all giveaways and prizes
  • Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, Power Point and Outlook
    • Fully skilled in maintaining spreadsheets for tracking events, personnel, payroll, budget, etc.
  • Strong knowledge of social media including but not limited to Facebook and Instagram
  • Skilled at providing innovative solutions for business, marketing and promotional needs via strong problem-solving skills and creative thinking
  • Experience in event planning
  • Able to multi-task and prioritize effectively
  • Strong sense of customer service in person, via email and on the phone
  • Must be available for nights, holidays and weekends, as needed
  • College degree preferred
  • Graphic Design skills are a plus
  • Physically and technically able to set up equipment such as tents, audio systems, tables, banners and more
