The Promotion Coordinator develops and implements effective promotions and special projects.
This position coordinates daily scheduling and filling of the on-air log;
covers network promos and provides updated weekly inventory promos to Master Control. In addition, the Promotion Coordinator:
- Assists with planning, staffing, coordination and execution of local events from concept through to completion.
- Creates video and power point recaps for CBS46 event sponsorships.
- Coordinates speaker requests for on air personalities and arranges appearances
- Sets up interviews with radio, magazines, and newspapers for feature stories on newscasters, or to interview anchors/reporter.
Local candidates will be given preferential consideration.
Requires completion of a video screen.
Two years television and or marketing experience in news or entertainment media formats. Production experience is a plus.
Education: Completion of high school or equivalent. College degree in communications, broadcasting or marketing is preferred.
Specific Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
Computer proficiency including experience with Excel and PowerPoint.
